Offer your space on the platform
Create an account and offer your space to people in need of housing in 15 minutes, and start receiving requests. To keep all users of the platform safe, we ask both those offering their homes and those in need of housing to verify their identity.
Both those offering housing and those in need of housing can use the Helfende Wände platform free of charge.
Review and accept requests
To submit a request, people in need of housing need to provide basic information, including the name of each person moving into the home. We automatically notify you about new requests. You can accept or decline them in your dashboard, where you will also find an overview of all requests.
It is best practice for housing providers to respond to requests as quickly as possible to minimise uncertain wait times for people in need of housing.
Contact the tenant to arrange their move
Once the person in need of housing has confirmed their interest, we share their contact information with you, so you can get in touch and arrange the move. We provide an optional rental agreement in English, German, Ukrainian and Russian to ensure a safe experience for both parties.

Digital housing solutions for refugees
results & future prospects
'The “Helfende Wände” (HW) initiative addresses Germany's urgent need for accommodation for refugees by providing a digital platform with a fully automated mediation process between refugees and private landlords.
Helfende Wände
Helping Walls is an initiative of Wunderflats and the non-profit organization ProjectTogether. The project is jointly funded by the European Union and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).
The secure digital platform will continue to be operated by Wunderflats. The project results report is available for download here and offers a comprehensive analysis of the results as well as insights into the future development possibilities of the platform.
